The Afterburn Report is our way of looking back at our most recent regional event; the good, the bad, and the blinky. It provides an overview to the community and communicates back with the Burning Man organization about the event’s operations and financial standing. A timely Afterburn Report is a contractual requirement with Burning Man in order to maintain our official regional status.
San Diego’s regional efforts are 100% volunteer. The Afterburn Report strives to illustrate how our efforts are divided into various hubs, what they do, why they do it, and the successes and failures of each area. Our hope is that the report will help provide a framework for understanding the people behind the event and our journey towards our collective community vision.
